Nice L-2B shot featuring Chuck Yeager

I think we all agree it is either a G or a H model L-2B Right???

I notice that Chuck's jacket's waistband appears rather wide in the B&W photo above. I think Satellite L-2Bs had rather wide waistbands. I just measured the one I have...its three and a half inches. By way of comparison, My '68 Alpha's is two and three quarters inches.

I hadn't considered the G as strongly because I felt the body length of Yeager's jacket looked a bit shorter than the '64s and '65s I've seen (particularly the Marshall G contract), nor had I thought of the width of the waistband. When I get home on Saturday I'll compare the waistband of my Satellite with that of some others in my collection, particularly the '66 Alpha that I initially guessed was the type worn by Yeager in the Kunsan pic. I'll also compare the body length.
