Old mouton coats can be found on EBay for very little money . Cut down you can get multiple collars out of them . Here’s a coat I picked up and one of the collars it was made into .

And then send the G-1 and the mouton you've just purchased to Steve Sellers for installation. Or try your hand with a needle and thread, if that suits your fancy.o_O

Also, FWIW, Burt and I went in on those collars together, and the mouton was some of the nicest I've ever seen. The cost was dirt cheap too.

Just came across this discussion of the (1969) Martin Lane. Think I might try FlightJackets.com for the mouton collar replacement. Will confirm with that burn test first though. When I called them, I was quoted 150.00 for a mouton collar replacement.

Just a thought to consider . You can pick up some nice mouton for very cheap money and replace the Dynel collar and……. Still have an original USN issued G-1 jacket that looks great and costs hundreds less than a repro ELC G-1
Like the idea of sourcing the mouton for the collar - I did exactly that on my Martin Lane, same contract and size in fact. US Wings helped me with the process and it looks amazing I must say. Just needs to be worn and weathered a little and it will settle down :)
