Very nice. It looks like I started a trend. The brown
background is non reg. The blue background is the
official patch.
The patch that is on one of my original jackets is the
only brown version I have seen, although there may
be others out there.
Here's the difference:
This is the only brown background I have seen worn by Lt. Barr
Lt. Barr Wearing it
This is the real approved 95th patch on a different jacket I have.
This is the patch that I have seen on other pilots jackets, as well
as for sale from some patch dealers.
This is the patch I had reproduced by Roberto from the forum.
It was based on Barrs patch
Just thought you guys might like a little background on the 95th Patch.
By the way, if anyone has photos of the Brown Background version
being worn, please send me a PM.

This 95th FS patch is indeed based on your original patch. I had it saved on my computer earlier but I could not find where I had saved it from ... thanks for posting here and solving my confusion!
Lt. Barr's is the only brown patch that I have seen and I personally think that the brown background looks way better than the blue one. That is why I decided to get one made by rosemary, since it is impossible to find one anywhere.

I couldn't agree more! The brown background really
does look great. It's also nice to have the wartime
photo of him wearing it, proving that it is not some
fantasy design.
