If I may be so bold, Saint-ex.As now it's cold in Paris, and as @Kermit3D is showing off his B-6 to me, I place the order for a B-6.
But since I don't wear my B-10 more than 5 days a year, maybe I will change my mind by the time it's my turn.
When the time comes and you possibly change your mind… J.C’s U.S.N jackets are equally as magical as his U.S.A.F jackets!!

I actually think a B-6 is more versatile than a B-10. If you forego the scarf and gloves, I can wear it up to around +8 C.

Well , that's done , the process is ON for a RW 42-1401-P Horween HH . Will have to check for all the details like zipper , thread and so , but the most important is done .
John told me about your RW 27752 Horween , @mulceber , Can you share the link of it ? if you have posted some pics on the forum . Please . John still have some Horween hh used for @coolhandluke and @Saint-ex . I have to choose wisely

FWIW, if you're going for that Horween hide, it might be worth switching to Rough Wear's 23380 contract or a 27752, since the 1401-Ps were all russet.

Ahahaha , yes , i know now that you've already posted these pics !!! About the hide , i read from the GW descritption that "a minute number of seal examples have been seen" . So ... anyway , I'll check that with JC and listen to his advice. I have a BK RW 27752 on his way , the 23380 could be more accurate with the hide I want . The Horween used for Saint ex is , my taste , exceptionnal .I feel like I share that jacket all the time.

Honestly, I almost chose the M-444 (because of your) in my order.Just a wee pic to help with your choice
But what tipped the scales for the B-6 was the pockets.
For a cold-weather jacket, I figured having pockets to put your hands in isn’t a bad idea.
But I also really like the style of the USN shearling jackets. So, we’ll see when the time comes…

I get where you are coming from.i don't use the pockets for hands,preferring gloves and keep the pockets unbuttoned ,save stress on the buttons.i chose the m-444a due to not liking fleece on wrists and waist on D 1 and b6.

The eastman anj4 i had and really liked had snaps, brilliant jacket, I just couldn't justify having a jacket that was brought out a couple of times a year,plus I really dislike broken grain, I'm sounding like a broken record with that

Much thicker but not as versatile,or anywhere near as comfortable. I will get 20times more wear with the m-444a.
