I grew up in the country. Took me over 30 years to get back to it. My wife was a city girl, born and raised in Toronto. She had some apprehension when I suggested we buy land and build in the country. She’s never even tasted well water. Now she couldn’t live anywhere else. Loves it.Also, without not minding my own business too much - your place looks beautiful. Quiet, wide, open - that’s my kinda place!
That’s fantastic and what I like to hear. Same story here, grew up in London but visited the country every holiday at the family farm.I grew up in the country. Same here. Bought the property in 2013. Lucky timing. A year later properties half the size were twice the price. That’s fantastic and what I like to hear. Same story here, grew up in London but visited the country every holiday at the family farm.
Was living on the edge of a small town most of my twenties, then bought a spot out in the countryside when Covid rolled in. Wouldn’t be anywhere else.
Truth be told, I got lucky. I got my hands on much more house than a man of my standing could/should afford. Was just fortunate timing with the buying/moving regulations around Covid.

You are correct sir, I am indeed. Well, Northern Ireland, mum’s from here and spent half my time as a young pup back and forward between here and London. For some reason I thought you were in Ireland
Ok. We’ve got to get over there. Wife and I both have Irish ancestry and we’ve never been there. You are correct sir, I am indeed. Well, Northern Ireland, mum’s from here and spent half my time as a young pup back and forward between here and London.
Moved out here permanently when I was 14 or so.
Oh man, soon as you make that happen give me a shout right away. Regardless where you decide to stay, this Island’s small enough I can be anywhere with a drive, I’d make an adventure out of it.Ok. We’ve got to get over there. Wife and I both have Irish ancestry and we’ve never been there.

Truth be told, Canada is somewhere high on my list as well, few places I’d love to visit.
Welcome at my place anytime as well obviously, would be a pleasure.Well, same here if you come over.
No I haven’t. I have a brother who spent 18 months in the Philippines working for a an aerial survey company. Said it was paradise. My other brother goes to Japan at least twice a year. His wife is Japanese and he’s the president of a Buddhist outfit here. All my travel has been within North America with exception of a month in France on course. Going to change that soon I hope.Welcome at my place anytime as well obviously, would be a pleasure.
And if neither of us get either way for a while, we have the next meet-up in the next year or two at one of the museums, state side.
Here’s a random one, you ever been to the Pacific Rim? Man, that is one beautiful corner of the world very high on my list.
