I had been watching this on eBay for a while, and decided to pull the trigger on it and thus introducing my first original A2 to my collection. This is not a government contract A2 but a private purchase one made by Windy City Sportswear. It’s made of front quarter horsehide and has the basic features common to contract issue A2s. It has a style of talon zipper common from the mid 1930s. It bears the ghost marks of a circular squadron patch on the left breast and the ghosting of an older shield style group patch on the right breast. All in all it’s a very nice example of a private purchase A2 and I’m pleased with it for the price I got it for.
