The wind flap has been cut off.
I don't think the patch or rank are from BR, to me they appear later additions.
Not worth 50 GBP, but maybe someone wants a XXL beater jacket.
My XL fits me like a 45,so I'd guess the XXL to be even larger, and not a 42-44 (unless the "modern" fit).

Too bad, these are excellent quality jackets.

Do the ma1 run big as I've been looking for one in my size and notice a medium runs big

Late sixties tagged Large fit me like a medium, early seventies XL fits me like a 46; very good fit in the body with sleeves being half an inch too long for me. Slightly too roomy fit makes for more comfy ride when driving my car or riding my bicycle.
With originals it's probably as with leather: go with the measurements, not with the tag.
BR nylon are very precise with there sizing: once you've established the right fit with a BR, another BR with the same tag size will fit you well. They do run big: I got my L2's in 40, they ought to be tagged 42.

Thanks I've seen one on a Japanese auction for around £80 in good nick but the knits had a moth hole in it ,even if I buy one new from Japan it would be cheaper than Br website .I've also seen some real McCoys versions but there so expensive .

I'm 6ft tall and have always had a problem with the
body being too short on MA1 jackets. Just something
to keep in mind for the taller guys!
