I’ve never had that problem. Then again I just use a dab at a time. I can see how using a lot would do as you sayI have so many jackets that have been ruined with Pecards. It sits on the acrylic doesn't soak in, turns white and attracts dirt.
I don't believe there is any difference in specs. The M-444 came from an earlier contract I guess.Just amazingly stunning jacket @bazelot! Never have seen an original shearling jacket in such a condition .
As we have not yet extended our "Better Fighting Garment 2.0" thread to cover as well the winter issues please allow one question: You probably can elaborate on the main difference between the M444 and the M444A (?) - what was the deviating criteria of the "A"?
thanks a lot!

Full Gear suggests the same as what @bazelot said. Sounds like it was probably just a change in contract wording, a minor change in the source of the materials, or something similarly inconsequential.I don't believe there is any difference in specs. The M-444 came from an earlier contract I guess.
It wasn't the color of the cuffs?Full Gear suggests the same as what @bazelot said. Sounds like it was probably just a change in contract wording, a minor change in the source of the materials, or something similarly inconsequential.
Yes, here it is - the brass decided the cuffs needed to be hot pink. They just liked how it looked with the seal surface of the shearling. It wasn't the color of the cuffs?
Sorry, just hadda. I'll get Micawber's coat.
