Martin Lane Co. G1

I found what I believe is an original contract Martin Lane G1 from 1969 in a thrift store today. My jaw almost hit the floor! This thing is near mint condition. Shows practically no wear at all. The collar, knits and lining are like new. It's a size 42. Too small for me so not sure if I will sell it and I don't know a fair asking price. I found receipts in the inner pocket from 1975 with the name of the gentleman who must have owned the jacket which was cool. His address was in Dartmouth Nova Scotia. I looked him up but I believe he was deceased in 2021

Here is my ML from the same contract but has a mouton collar, it must before they swapped to synthetic collars in the same year. The collar on mine is made from two pieces of mouton so it must have one of the last ones using up what pieces they had left. The goat is super soft.

Very nice! So is the collar on mine a synthetic or a wool perhaps?

From the contact date Yours should be a Goat and Dynel collar and by the looks of the grain it looks to be this. One thing I regret is not sourcing a ML in a larger size as with the mouton collar as the goat is super soft, great liner and knits and a roomy modern fit. I will be selling this ML in time, it’s has some mouton balding and knit darning which is an absolute shame.
