Gents,

Although he claims ignorance, I feel certain that he knows exactly what he has... the name "Britts Bits" is a secondary/shill bidding identity for the guy from "Garcia Aviation", and is known to do some very shady things. I wouldn't trust either of these identities.

Cheers,

Lets not forget that the jacket is made like iron, not like any of the so-called museum quality repros churned out by other so called manufacturers that get discussed endlessly by cursed pillow biting fag boys claiming to be 'experts' on so called vintage leather forums. No sir this is a true blue american crafted classic designed to grace the back of god fearing strong armed red blooded husky males who have the strength in their wrists to fasten the military yessir military specification zipper (ooooh that word)
RARRRRRRRRRRRRR!

Sorry couldnt resist.

Britts bits know fine and well what they are selling, I have bought from them happily.. bits that is, some nice little repro stuff. I think the claim not to know whether this is original or not is...

Bollux.
The jacket itself looks very nice. :)

Tim,

WELL SAID, good sir!! I really liked your rant.

As you say the jacket is excellent, I just hate feeling like someone is
trying to take advantage of people, by claiming ignorance where none exists!

Again just my opinion of course :D

I'm disappointed to hear of this, having purchased a number of aviation survival items directly from the Garcia Aviation website. When two of the items in my first purchase failed to meet expectations Mr. Garcia promptly refunded my money, and he has consistently provided excellent customer service in all subsequent transactions.

The aforesaid notwithstanding, I have a tough time believing claims of ignorance regarding the authenticity of such jackets--particularly when they're offered for sale by veterans of the business.

Now that you mention it, I recall that SusieQ/BrittsBits was the seller of my unissued size 40R M41 jacket. Aside from a minor shipping glitch attributable to the Postal Service everything turned out great. At least she agrees that the B-3 is a repro. :?

Aha, thanks Roughwear.. it's his wife's account, that explains the nature of the two names... you will see "Bits" buy something, and then "Garcia".. "Mark it up and sell it on" (AB Fab), thus confusing the buyer as to its origins. This was my point. Sorry for the confusion or incomplete information.
