a vet friend of mine wants to replace the knits on his vintage G-1. the jacket is in very nice condition and he still wears it.

SPECIFICATION MIL-J-7823 (AER) J.A.DUBOW SPORTING GOODS CORP. CONTRACT NO. N383S-4833A

we would like to find some good knits and have them sewn on locally. any recommendations for a source of quality knits for a vintage jacket. this was his korean war era jacket but he was also a wwii vet. i'll get some photos of the jacket and post them here. it has several patches including a vmf-323. i've wanted to photo the jacket for some time now and he called last night about the knits...

I don't know if they would be vintage or whether you could purchase just the knits but doesn't Lost Worlds have a repro Dubow G-1?

thanks for your replies. a forum member we all know offered me a set that will work fine. the jacket belongs to Joe McPhail (vmf-323,vmf-214) and i'll get him to pose for some before and after photos.
