Ok thanks, Andrew what are your thoughts on the real McCoys Japan A2 jackets are there leathers they use more premium leather than the likes of GW ect

I have never owned one made in Japan. The leather looks quite characterless from the photos I have seen, but I'm sure there are others here better qualified to answer you.

That is one of the reasons why have not bought one before coupled with the fact that GW A2s are considered more accurate repros.

The feedback I get is that the Japanese customers prefer it characterless. One brand once tried with character only to find that they had to switch back to characterless.

Yes, it's a sweeping generalisation based on only a few conversations, but that would agree with my understanding of the 'typical' Japanese buyer.
