 I'm shocked,, I tell you, SHOCKED !!! that someone would e-mail potential buyers and give them their opinions about an item.

"You know, Jealousy is the root to all evil. there are a ton of so called experts out there. that seem to have noting better to do than to keep track of what we sell, and email our bidders with a pack of lies about almost any thing we list.
we are not alone, that is why ebay has provided the option of making listings private. where the seller and the bidder are the only two people that can communicate with each other. I am sorry to say that because of these jealous know it all's, or what I like to call " Self Made Ebay Super Heros" that feel like they need to ruin someone else's deal because they think they know it all, or because they just cant afford it. We have been forced to use this option of privacy. Our feedback says it all. Over 1700 happy customers and climbing."

I'm in no way remotely a self styled expert or do I claim any knowledge of what's genuine or not genuine for WW2 A-2's ...but just from looking at the pics of this listing, I can say that this jacket is probably a private purchase jacket and not an issued jacket, it's not even an A2. So why didn't the seller just say that instead of hyping it as a:
WW2 A-2 USAAF BOMBER JACKET W/CBI PATCH 90TH BOMB GROUP
and
Awesome WWII USAAF Item here.

I'm guessing that potential buyers, collectors are savvy enough to know what they're bidding on, heck if I can figure it out, anybody can.

It's likely that the seller has been contacted by "Ebay super heroes" because he mis-represents his jackets as he does with this one. Where is the proof that this jacket was ever worn by a member of the 90th BG? The story of the CBI patch made me laugh. The collar looks enormous on this AN-J3 style jacket and the outburst from the seller will only serve to deter serious collectors IMO.

pity about the BS. That's a very nice example of a period jacket - i'd guess Sear's catalogue or something similar. They were all producing this type of jacket at that time.

It's not even close to a $600 jacket, though. Maybe $60.

The seller's policy could be a holdover from when you could see bidders' IDs. Now that ebay hides them I don't think anyone except the seller can contact bidders. Too bad, I bet there's more shill bidding going on now.
