Funny, when I saw this, I said to meself, "me, I can see @John Lever wearing this!John has had this one (or one very similar for over 10 years.)
Must be one of the very rarest jackets around, stunning.
He told me that he can't replicate it as Switlik are still trading.
I can only say by having owned a BR B-2 that it was there to support the lining material.wonder what the stitch horizontal stickh line the back is [was]for?
Supports the heavy liner from sagging. I didnt run that stitch line on mine, liked the looks better without it. Figured I could always add it later if there was an issue.wonder what the stitch horizontal stickh line the back is [was]for?

Would assume that is the reason JC has had it.Wow. That’s amazing! I wonder if he will ever produce a replica?
Could it be a pocket position, with the pocket removed?Supports the heavy liner from sagging. I didnt run that stitch line on mine, liked the looks better without it. Figured I could always add it later if there was an issue.

I also imagine a blanket-lined jacket wouldn’t need it to quite the same degree that a shearling-lined one would. But that’s just my layman’s speculation.
And a 44!...but John's is in astonishing condition.
Right...he was asking about this one one the back.
