For the larger man. Size 7 Irvin suits are very rare. This one was made by Wareings of Northampton and both jacket and trousers have the same contract number indicating that they were issued together. The £999 starting price is too high IMO.

Yes he should Rich. I have rarely seen such a patched Irvin. I guess it was used as a bike jacket post war, as so many were, which would explain the crude repairs and removal of the ends of the cuffs. BTW it is not a Wareings jacket but from Irvin Air Chute. I have owned several IAC jackets from this time when you have seen a few they are quite easy to recognise-square collar, often tan facings, high quality original construction etc..
