Interesting Luftwaffe jacket

Hey Peter,

I have a book titled "Kampfflieger: Bomber Crewman of the Luftwaffe 1939-45". There is an illustration of a leather filght suit that looks just like this jacket. Perhaps someone cut the suit below the waist?

Edit: I see the seller suggested as much in the listing. I think he might be telling the truth.

Seems any old leather jacket these days qualifies it as a possible Luftwaffe jacket. :lol: I can't imagine trying to collect real Luftwaffe jackets. I imagine if there was a real way to verify them, they'd go for real big money. I guess the uncertainty can keep the prices down somewhat.

Now to address the question, I for one have never seen one like that pictured in any book. Luftwaffe history was/is one of my all time favorites to study too.
