How do I remove a decal?

I tried using acetone on the decal. The result was…unpleasant. It smeared the colors and tried to take the top coat off as predicted. And so it’s at the tailors having the patch sewn over it.

I do say. At least it was an easy fix with a patch. If I get another one, big IF, I will forgo the decal.

Did you add the decal? Sits very low...

Acetone will strip a lot of finishes ...as you found out.

I was hoping it wouldn’t go that deep and just take off the decal but it only smeared the color around. If I had used any more then just a dab it would have probably stripped everything off. I should have taken a picture to show, but I was disgruntled and took it straight to the tailor
