A purchase this weekend. The jacket is not mint, but not bad either. Has some damage but as you can see nothing that will prevent it from being displayed. Made by HLB..no size tag but I can put it on and if the zipper worked would be able to zip, so a 44 at least????
Thanks Tank. I have stayed away from WWII sheepskin...too fragile for the cost..but this guy made me an offer I could not pass...60.00 bones
happy hunting...
How do you get guys "offering"? Nice pick up for sure. Does the hide separate easily or is it solid?
When I was looking for my first shearling jacket a dealer told me, "It could be just fine one day, the next day you can walk in and find it on the floor in pieces." That and the prices turned me off for a while.
IMO, other than flat, keeping it on a torso is about as supportive as can be. Shoulders take the worst of it with the sleeves hanging.

Dave,
Found this Friday at the MVPA outdoor flea market near Aberdeen MD. It was Friday, going to rain that night, he wanted to get rid of it. Mainly a MV parts fleamarket with militaria thrown in. A pair of A-6 boots too for 10 bones. 1 zip needs replacement and a mismatched pair, but same size and rubber type...I passed on two pair of the pants, never even looked at em.. too excited about the jacket and boots!
The hide is flexible enough. I can put it on, move around and such. The horsehide is in great shape...I have it on one of those gentleman hangers with a big fat hanger guess I should store it flat though....
