Help with valuation of the jacket

Hi! Please help with valuation of this jacket . It is a German jacket, possibly from the 1940's. The main zipper is not working and the lining is torn in couple of places. The leather is undamaged. It's a hard and heavy leather, not sure what kind. No labels on the jacket just the zippers: RO and Ries. Help much appreciated !

I'm not offended. But there is a reason why you used the word treasure. There is something really beautiful about a jacket that carries 80 years of history with it. Plus the quality, it will last probably another 80 with no problem(except the lining) :)

With al due respect.. Ries only exists since the 1960s.
The Ro zippers are Asian made and last but not least the left hand zipper closing makes it a women’s motorcycle jacket and yes from the 70/80is..

I am not an expert but read somewhere that German leather jackets in the 40s and 50s have been made with the zippers on the left side, and it didn't mean it was a female jacket, even today some German and Swiss manufacturers make outdoor jackets with zippers on this side.

I got this jacket from a person who claimed it was from the 40's. I actually don't know much about vintage jackets. So it is rather from the 80s?

I also came across "Riechel & Co , as referring to RO zipper. I cannot confirm it. I cannot find anything online about RO being asian zippers. Do you perhaps have any sources ?
