good deal if it fits

Purchased new by me from Goodwear a while back. It's a Rough Wear in the older horsehide. I distressed the hell out of it with hot water and abrasion of some of the finish. The hide looks like an old war veteran now but the lining and everything else looks pretty much like new with no neck wear or other issues. I bought it to experiment with distressing and never really wore it. It's tagged a 46 but my aggressive distressing has shrunk it up quite a bit so go by these measurements please:

Chest pit to pit: 22"
Shoulders seam to seam: 19"
Arm length to end of knit: 23"
Back length from bottom of collar to end of knit: 24"

Gentlemen, could you please stop shrinking your jackets???

When they shrink the larger sizes, they could almost fit me.
I guess only the really expensive jackets can be shrunk...I tried washing a cheap moo hide jacket twice in hot water and it didn't shrink it one bit.

Hi,

Based on a couple of pm's, I confused people into thinking that this is my jacket. Sorry, it's not. I just posted its link and included the sizing info.

I'm glad you said that. I can now give my honest opinion of the jacket. It looks a fucking mess !

You know, I'm all in favor of messing around with your jackets (I've debased several in my pre-jacketmaking days), and doing with them as you please. However, since I know from experience how much work it takes to make one of these I cringe to see them shrunk in the dryer. Plus, now whoever gets that jacket in the future (and there will be several owners through the years I'm sure) will think that Goodwear has no idea how to make a correct size 46. IMHO if you want to shrink a jacket you should at least have the courtesy to remove the size tag....

Cheers
Mark
