GW Dubow 27798

I just paid my deposit and placed my order with JC and Vickie on a Goodwear Dubow 27798 in semi aniline Seal horsehide (LHJ104 hide) with dull purple knits!

Now to wait the 12 months for completion! SO... anyone got this contract in these colours so I can drool over it???? Piccies please!!!!

I actually keep going between the 103 and the 104 hide... I think I prefer the grain of the 104 a bit more, but I've changed my mind about 100x since placing my deposit so who knows what I end up settling on!

I had the same dilemma, I like the 104 just that little bit more. I'm not intending to change my mind but...

This is a 1755, not a 27798...but very similar.

I have one of John's 27798's in seal with purply knits. I think it's my favourite A-2 contract.

I'll see if I can post a pic or two over the weekend.

What zipper are you having put on your Steve? I've noticed John is using repro Crown Zipper chains with original pullers on sone appropiate contracts and I reckon one would be great on a 27798.

Yep- tan thread and a NOS WWII M-42 Talon zipper. Straight off the contract specs listed on Johns site. No deviation there.

Jeff, thats exactly the "look" Very nice jacket! Thanks for posting. Are the knits specified as dull purple or cherry?
