I think you've sold it for me Peter, one just like yours is the one I want! Thanks.

The only problem I can see is that now my Wife will realize that I have more than one jacket!

Thanks Peter, btw the 1401 seems a bit to small, send it to me will ya? :D
Ah ha, you scoundrel! I see right through your ploy, as you were the one that hit on this jacket right after me.
And indeed: it is a stimulus to lose a couple of kilos around the waist, mainly ;) !

Peter,

Great score there ! I thought I saw you sucking in that gut ;)

Peter, those look really great. The Dubow is my favorite; really love the collars same as you do. I am still smitten with my GW Dubow in goatskin that I got earlier this year. Just a marvellous pattern. :D

This is how the decal looks, after 6 months of wearing the jacket, in - among other things, a couple of heavy - of one one might say torrential - rainshowers:

Dubow- not that I have a lot of experience with many other contracts but i'ts my favourite too (compared to RW's, Perry, Aero and USL).
Particulary the sharp neat looking collar that sits low down (without collar stand), the roomy upper arm shape with cuffs that aren't baggy, and the fitted shoulders (I hate droopy long epaulettes).

Peter, with that wear it's looking excellent. I wonder how long the rest of the decal will last?

Very nice jackets Peter and looking good but my favourite has got to be your GW Roughwear 27752....now that is a NICE jacket.

John's latest Dubow is awesome with the new hh. I love the sections of prnounced grain and the lighter stitching. I have one on order which should be made early in 2011.

The GW RW 27752 after two years, getting better and better.
Notice the difference between the original colour under the collar and the faded brown of the exposed parts of the jacket: beautiful (as always, in the eye of the beholder)

Very, very nice Peter......the jacket looks fantastic, I currently have an order in with GW for the very same jacket and when it arrives (in approx 6 months time I guess) I hope it ages as well as yours has done.

Thanks for sharing these pics Peter. Your 27752 could easily be mistaken for an original jacket made 70 years ago. The wear and fading is just the same as on some of my originals. Keep on wearing it with pride.

I would love to see the Dubow after these few years. My GW Dubow is my favorite.
Will do, one of these days. It's aged as well, but much less than the GW RW, even though it got about the same amount of wear time.

Awesome A-2s, the hides are amazing......and the decal is perfect. Not too many A-2s with a mint decal, just enough wear to make it look worn...
