GW Dubow 1755

I recently received my new GW Dubow 1755 from John, and as everyone can attest, his jackets are amazing. I've owned two previous GWs, a Bronco (goat), Poughkeepsie (horse) and now this Dubow. Since I'm a dyed in the wool M-422A/G-1 fan, I am now finally happy with the size and feel of an A-2 with this new jacket. The sizing allows me to ride my motorcycle without it riding up on my arms and back, and overall, it has very good freedom of movement. I obviously recommend this version of the A-2 to anyone in the market for a roomy jacket that looks like an original.

I'm trying to fix the link issue by reviewing the post photos page again, but as far as I can tell, I haven't screwed anything up. Is there a size limitation on posted photos?

Nice jacket, nice color.
Did you ask for that horsehide tag inside the pocket?

The contrast of the thread against the leather is really neat-o !
As details go, that's one of my favorite things about A-2 reproductions. Also, the shot you took of the hanger stitching from the back looks really sharp; really nice and clean. VERY cool jacket.

I have a 1755 in virtually the same spec that I picked up from a forum member earlier this year. It has the HH tag inside the left pocket. This seems to be a hit or miss thing. I also have it in my GW RW 27752 and SAT, but not in my RW 1401-P.

The 1755 is easily one of the more comfortable to wear and good looking contracts I own. Another masterpiece from John!

I have the label in my Monarch

Presumably that's a contemporary thing? Aside from the Union tag being used in a specific contract as discussed earlier, did wartime makers use this? I've not seen them in my limited experience of originals (limited to Perry Sportswear models).

My next GW is likely to be goat, but if I went for a SAT I'd probably ask for it to be omitted.
