I have my suspicions...what stops shill bidding (the seller creates another account to engage in a bidding war, thus driving up final price?) then bailing. That could have happened here; no way to know. Not accusing, but I wonder how often that happens.

Nowadays, for all highly sought after items, in 80% of the auctions....Was discussed already in several posts...other collector’s forums are even more pessimistic.
The 100% winner : Ebay, hence, nothing will be done about it.

Oh man. So after getting outbid I went crazy and stuffed myself with two nylons on Buyee. Then I received the email that afternoon stating I had a “second offer chance” to buy and I hit yes. Blew my credit line in the process.

Opted to sell a few I wear less to offset costs. Folks, I once had to pick my hand up with my other hand to remove it from the slot machine button at a Vegas casino. It’s a bit of a problem. I’m giving up tobacco fully this summer so this is my early gift to myself. Some jackets to stare at while I sweat in bed.
