I just got my Gizemo B-10, many thanks to @Shanghai-Mayne for helping me purchase it, and @Brettafett for helping with nailing down the fit.
I've been on a quest to find the 'perfect' B-10 for a very long time. I'm not so anal about the tiny details, if it's good quality, looks the part and fits well, I'm happy. I had 2 Bronsons, the 40 was too snug, the 42 was too bulky. I was also not entirely happy with the color of the Bronson and the puffy arms, as well as the knits that weren't matching the fabric. ELC looked pretty good, but I'm not spending that much on a fabric jacket with a poor quality mouton collar. I had a look at Buzz B-10s too, but I find them too puffy, their collar too light and thick, and the color is a shiny yellowish green on every photo I've seen.
That's when Gizemo entered the scene. I ordered one from Taobao through Superbuy but that got stolen by customs. Then SM was kind enough to help me purchase one, and a friend of mine who visited Shanghai picked it up for me. Today I got the jacket.
I've never handled an ELC, so I cannot compare the fabric, but it looks the part and it feels like it's good quality. The knit colors match perfectly which I'm very happy about. The collar is exquisite, a little darker than on the photos - I would have preferred something even darker, but oh well. The alpaca is not overly thick or bulky, the jacket is easy to wear with a T-shirt or a light sweater. It's lighter than my Bronson. The zipper is probably the same as Bronson's, it's probably the weakest part of the jacket.
The fit is great, it doesn't feel too bulky at all, they got the pattern right. I was torn between the 40 and the 42 - I'm slim and tall. 184cm, 76kg, 39" chest. I went with the 40 and I'm glad I did: the torso is perfect, so is the shoulder, and the sleeves are even a tad too long. The back is a little short, but I had no illusions, this is the B-10 pattern, it's supposed to be short. Sizing up for an extra 1 cm length would have been a grave mistake.
All in all Gizemo is probably what Platon was in the A-2 league. An affordable jacket that is a definite keeper.
