Hi everyone

"I saw a G1 leather jacket for sale online. Could the experts in the group help to verify if it is legit?

Thank you.

It’s around USD520. Do you think it is a good price?
I know that you’re new here so I’ll tell you something that I’ve mentioned several times with regard to buying a vintage jacket like this :
Unless you’re actually holding the jacket in your hand and can get a close look at it and see what issues it may have that can’t be seen in the photos … it’s a guessing game .
If the jacket is in excellent condition and doesn’t need any replacement parts or work then this jacket would be one that I’d buy . It’s a Korean War vintage USN jacket that looks in nice shape ……. From the photos …
If you can get the seller to agree to a three day inspection period where you can have the jacket to determine its condition and return it if you find some rot or undisclosed issues , then I’d say do it .

Or if he won’t go for the 3 day inspection period where… tell him you’ll pay him 2/3rds his price up front and the other 1/3 once you have a chance to inspect the jacket.
