Well, if you take into account the Airborne patch, which is a custom-made item and very rare, the value of this rare jacket is probably around 7,000 to 8,000 dollars. That's for sure! ☝

The jacket pictured here is a very inexpensive representation of a flight jacket with fake patches and has little to do with military issued jackets or authentic flight jackets. These jackets were sold in Malls back in the 1970-1980 time frame for as little as $50- 85.00 US. Thus they got the name “Mall Jackets” It really has gone down in value since then . Sorry to bring you this bad news but it’s the truth. If you decide to stick around this forum for a while you’ll begin to realize what jacket are truly of value .

About the same as a good old late night post pub nosh-up - 2 bucks/2 quid worth of chips and a springroll - it has got the airborne patch so that means an extra serving of curry sauce on the chips though!
Seriously though, like others have said it's not valuable monetarily but seeing as it was your Dad's maybe it is sentimentally.
If it fits and you like it you're better off wearing the thing.

I'm embarrassed for most of these replies. The guy comes in asking if it has value for a reason.
It seems like I have to daily say to someone, "we ask questions because WE DONT ALREADY KNOW THE ANSWERS".
Had I seen the OP before all these condescending sarcastic responses, I'd have given a simple honest answer.
