I believe the owner died in a plane crash in 1983, so probably '83 (or possibly '84) was the last production of these. I think I got mine in 84, possibly 85..certain parts of the 80s are a LITTLE fuzzy.

I can pinpoint my purchase to '84 or '85 -- I have pictures of me wearing it on my (first) honeymoon in October of '85.

Decided to condition and do a bit of cold tumbling on my FAI A2, and now I realize that it's not cowhide. Apparently its the goatskin version.
