Now that its a few months out, how’s that hide holding up? Any issues with it peeling?

Horse hide has softened considerably in a good way (I tumbled it in a cool dryer for a good bit which I'll still at and point), but the finish is holding strong, no signs of pealing.

Think the current hides are a step or two up on the early days.
