With the quality of the goatskin I think the USN jackets will be a long term winner. I think the horsehide wait is the only thing holding back a LOT of A-2 orders..

This looks like a great jacket.

Looks great. Did you go for the veg tanned in the end?

Unfortunately I had the same issue as well under the armpit / chest area and was told the same by Shawn that this was due to that particular hide being used that ages quicker. Something I wouldn’t have opted for if I had known. I still think Shawn’s jackets are great value for the money but would specify a normal hide next time if I were to get another jacket made.

shawn says it’s 1.2mm? But that’s all I know; I didn’t specify tanning process. I just didn’t want the quick fade leather
