First Negative feedback

Well I knew this was going to happen sooner or later. This lady was not going to be happy no matter what. I sold her a lightly used pair of boots that were fine and she got a great deal. she never asked to return them. Lately their is a slew of people wanting to get all their money back and keep the item by using the negative feedback as a tool. So this is what she wrote.
Negative feedback rating Boots came with a horrible stench odor!Contacted seller, No response!

I had a 14 day return no questions asked on this item. and the boots were almost brand new when I sent them. she got them for 21.75

You should contact Ebay Vince, If she did attempt to contact, it's recorded. If not, it's a blatant lie and there are specialist for feedback that will consider the facts. Any communication that even remotely hints that what you say is the case is "feedback Extortion"

Yes try and get it changed. Ebay can help. There is a "Request feedback change or removal" process. Look it up in ebay Help section. You can start a request. Also you can call ebay and explain your situation. They are willing to help if they can and the situation warrants it. I speak from experience on this one.

Just a bit of advice. Be very respectful, take the high road. You will get a lot further in your dealings with ebay.

Feedbacks are vital for successful sales on ebay. I'm sure you have worked hard to maintain your positive ratings. Make sure you point that out.

Best of luck,
Jay

Curious about the score as well, my guess is that she's under 50. Most of these negative freaks are and I have to blame Ebay quite a bit as it seems they really promote the whole complaint thing. Everywhere you look there's an option to do so. Experienced seller and buyer are not as likely to be so critical. My last other than positive was because of a jade colored rock in a box of thousands of buttons, a little colorful rock as if some one tossed it in there because it was pretty. $10 for thousands of vintage buttons and a complaint for a little rock? I replied to her 19 feedback score appropriately as Ebay Rookie blocked for life! "Should have tossed the damn buttons" I told that friggin idiot.

She had a no hassle return option on that item and did not even need my permission to return the item. It is pretty common scam now for people to try to get a full or partial refund and keep the item. Actually I am headed to Cuba for 5 years on Monday so I think I am done with E-bay except as a buyer. Most of the sellers I deal with have been great and I have not had any problems ever if I request to return an item.

If you let Ebay know at least it'll be on her record. Sellers have very little to rely on for security but I know for a fact that issues like this are noted on their account when reported.

Every time I think I might try and sell on eBay, I check here and change my mind!

Sorry to hear it. I agree you need to pursue this. When people get away with shenanigans like this, they keep inflicting the act upon others.

It's a hassle to sell. Ebay and PP all take a cut but It's the only game in Town. I sold a 200$ pair of boots for 21$ and got a negative feedback. Now I with I wish I had given them to Goodwill.

My thoughts also. I'm wondering if that Facebook page that's occasionally referred to might be a better option. Anyone know the details?
