Great looking jacket. I've always been a big G-1 fan. Help me out. Were G-1, M-422 or M-422A jackets ever made for the Navy in horsehide?

Hi All,
W&G did an USN issue AN-J-3A using HH.

Much like my example from within my collection & more often than not seen with rust colored knits. I've got one of those in the works. Even the thread is rust colored and nylon.

In addition, I am almost convinced that Monarch MFG did a civilian model (leather collar) AN-J-3. Which I do.

Cheers, Dave

Wow! That’s another rare bird.
Is there any decisive info that the USN jackets are goatskin because the hide had more water resistance that other hides or is that a myth ?
