I notice from Vic's description ELC are shortly to be using a darker warhorse hide for the 1933 Werber. The Werber is the only ELC A2 that I own and IMO their best. The current hh is spot on and I don't see how it can be improved on.

I agree 100%. Their current horsehide is just right in color, weight, and appearance for this contract. After almost six years of wear, mine looks quite a bit like the original that Eastman compares their repro against on their website.

I wouldn't change a thing but it's his business not mine. I am sure there is a good business case for the change.

It can't be easy sourcing hh that is so lightweight. The darker color may be necessary to cover blemishes.

cool i like the creasing in the arms and the caramel colour under tone in the leather dmar836 had a really nice weber a few years ago i shouldve brought that jacket from him

hahaha, mine isnt nearly as light as these pix. however, i reckon in a few years it will be. my elc rw 1401 [the batch with the first crown zipper, before the "war horse"] is very light like the werber pix. caramel would be the best description of the color.
