Ok so going back to knits. I spoke with Eastman and they will only replace with the same knits on the RW27752, has anyone UK based used someone else to replace theres before? I was thinking of getting some MASH knits in a mid brown.

Theres a guy here in London, Jules, who can replace knits correctly (he is a collector himself, and worked in wardrobe of BoB series)...
Best if you source the knits, either MASH or Headwind Mfg... Or get from Eastman.

Byson leather or Aeroleather, as Brett said source the knits from Mash or Headwind or possibly drop JC a message although as a maker he might not be interested in selling stuff he has worked hard to source

Dubow 1755 were fitted with RAU snaps and are marked RAU.

At present there are no NOS or repro RAU snaps available.

RAU or United Carr but surely not ELC.

Careful with Byson. They wont guarantee the stitching using the same stitch holes.
They ruined a jacket a year or two ago, using thread of a different colour and overstitching the original stitch holes. Never again.

They say on their website that you can’t expect ‘museum quality’ work since they are in the jacket repair business. The original Irvins that they specialise in tend to be well used and patched from hard lives.

Yes had a reply from Jules today. A good price to do the waistband and cuffs all done by hand using the same stitching holes.

Which is why I didn't use them when I wanted a zip installed.
