Ok braved the cold for a walk. This is with a a sweater on underneath and US army issue wool scarf. Nice and comfy and not at all restrictive which means it’ll be getting some winter use.

Have to say Stants, and I mean this, that's one of the nicest cut E.L.C A-2's I've ever seen. And it's not even been worn in yet!!

Is this Dubow a new contract they've added to the line-up? This is the first one of these I have seen I must admit.

I think I’ll have to agree with you it’s one of the nicest I’ve seen too. Can’t wait to see what it looks like with some wear, the hide seems nice and soft.

I think it’s a fairly new contract for them, at least the last couple of years. Not one I’d usually go for in all honesty but I’m sure glad I did.

The DuBow 1755 was always one of my favorite contracts. Because it was the last DuBow Contract awarded in 1943, near the end of A2 jacket procurements, there were only a very limited number of them made, probably around 5000. Most of which were in the smaller sizes. You can still find originals for sale today, but again .. in smaller sizes .
Here’s a quick photo of my GW 1755 in a size 46.

Thinking back to my 27752, the knits. Boy are those so off the mark compared to these. Realistically what are my options? Send back to Eastman and ask them to redo? Ask them to redo with different knits more like the 1755 but in the correct RW colour? Or is there someone in the UK that could be recommended to change them out for some MASH ones or something along those lines?

If I recall, I think it might have been Skyranger, recently returned his Eastman back to them to have some repair work on his collar.

For all the effort and given how handy it would be to get it back to them, might be worth firing an email to see how much it would cost all in.

This is a fine example B-Man, hope you're sensible and never consider selling this one.

Stunning jacket, after reading a bit more about it I liked the history with the contract and being a bit more niche is cool. As a two jacket setup I am pretty much sorted I think, one of the most produced and one of the least, both with some very nice and features.

Yes I may speak with them then. I’d probably push for some replacements FOC as it’s been 3 months wear and the wrist knits are next to useless already.
