ebay postage

From 29 March there will be a maximum postage cost of £4 for items listed in Men's clothing on ebay UK. If you list in Militaria, then some potential buyers will be unable to see the listing because of ebay international restrictions.
If you offer free postage [ but include it in the start price or BIN] then you will lose buyers in the UK because the post to the US is three times as much.
So basically this could be the end of ebay for us here.

I have never listed flight clothing in 'men's clothing', always militaria and sell mostly overseas despite frequent high postage of couriers etc. Ebay have had to revise their rules for books and music due to pressure from sellers, it appeared ebay originally tried to copy Amazon who offer a free postage/max postage charge but it was quickly pointed out that the free postage option with Amazon was often a slow way of receiving an item.

I usually include free shipping anywhere and build it in to the price/profit/loss. BUT, I have pretty much stopped selling on the bay seeing as I have left what I want to keep (at least for the next few years) ;)

I never list in mens clothing either and always make out well. Just list in Militaria, and you'll be fine. You may miss out on some German buyers, but the Japanese, U.S., Canada, UK, Australia buyers among others will still be there. That's alot of players!!

Interesting. Recently though it seems the country considered to have all the money changes on a weekly basis. ;)
