Ebay feedback

Is it only me or do other people who sell on ebay find that 75% of buyers can't be bothered to leave feedback or respond to enquiries from seller to see if they are happy ?

Buyer feedback means nothing. If you want something then generally you're gonna pay for it pretty quick. BUT seller feedback means a lot to a seller for future sales. It gives confidence to buyers.

Even members on here who have bought from me have not been bothered to leave feedback or let me know they have received an item and are happy.

How's that for good manners ?

I agree that many buyers don't let one know an item arrived or leave appropriate feedback and it has got worse since ebay's feedback works one way, that is, no negs for buyers. I as a seller like to know when the item arrives, not least to relax that the buyer won't be doing a charge-back fiddle as has happened to me a few times. Funnily enough, just tonight I got pos feedback for an item I forgot I sold, it was so long ago!

I make a point of always leaving appropriate feedback when ever I buy something.
I never leave feedback for buyers however, as I never sell on ebay anymore. Ebay and I had a major spat over an item that they claimed was 'illegal' to sell despite government advice that it was perfectly legal as advertised... ebay then proceeded to make up their own rules as they went along to support their claims and I've since denied ebay any revenue from my sales and never pass up the opportunity to bad mouth ebay as a place to sell in retaliation.
Sound like a petty school ground argument? It sure does, but if ebay insist on being a childish merchant bully, then I'll play their game...

It matters when you're starting out maybe, but after a while (once you're in the hundreds) it becomes pretty meaningless, and frankly it doesn't bother me whether a buyer leaves me f/b...if they don't it saves me the effort of leaving them f/b in return.

I'll leave feedback as soon as I have the item unless I decide on seeing it that I don't want to keep it. If it's not what I was expecting and I do decide to resell I usually drop the original seller a note to let them know what i'm doing and to say i'll post fb after it's resold. I don't want to prejudice the resale by having the original purchase at the top of my list.A couple of times I've accidentally left it too long and missed my chance to give a good seller the fb he deserves.

Lately most of the sellers I'm dealing with are leaving me fb as soon as I have paid, usually it's only after I as a buyer have left mine first. I've been lucky over the last year with happy deals.
