Early Cagleco G-1)

Just got this. It's from the 1st 7823 spec G-1 jackets, M-J-7823(AER). Maker is Cagleco Sportswear. The 7823 designation is still in use but now up to 7823E. It's like new. There are a couple of quite excellent repairs to the waistband that are barely noticeable. From the looks, it may have been unissued and acquired by someone who had the repairs done. There are absolutely no signs that it was ever worn. Notice the wind flap is unpunched and USN stenciled on the collar. I believe the contract is from 1951.

Nice jacket. You need to clean the mold though.

I photographed it straight from to package. Mold is now gone. Easy fix.

FWIW, Cagleco had six 7823 contracts spanning from 1954 to 1957. Your jacket is from the last contract and dates to 1957.
