Denim jacket, any suggestions ?

One of my favorite denim jackets is the 1970's era Lee Stormrider....

Mine as well. Superb practical and comfy jackets

I have to admit that I have not looked for a while, but vintage Levi's and Lee jackets used to be quite inexpensive compared to jeans which were insanely expensive. I got a Levi's Big E Type 3 and a Lee 101J for well under a hundred dollars on ebay. There is nothing like vintage denim, just as there is nothing like a vintage A-2. It would also be worth looking at the Lee Japan versions of the early Lee jackets which are super cool.

One of my favorite denim jackets that still pops up now and then at vintage shops and online is the 1970's era Lee Stormrider. The left hand twill denim was still quite nice, faded beautifully and are still rather affordable compared to 60's or earlier. Unlike the Japanese repros, these were made by Union workers in the United States.
