If the flying tiger jacket only goes back to 1981,then either the seller,or the person who sold it to the seller,was lying about it.

Don't misconstrue, the PSS said she only has catalogs in her possession that go back that far -- not that the jacket started production then.

Nonetheless, if the seller was trying to pass this off as an "issue" jacket, he was truly wrong -- or misleading. OTOH, the aviator he names could certainly have purchased the jacket on his own.
