Yes it is a custom order, but I only wanted my measurements. I did not specify contrast. I suspect these are variations on the skins. My leather is darker, more of a seal. I like it a lot too.

i always wanted a shearling jacket and also thought of the US versions, but i don't like some details that much. The Irvins are better there. and the yellow hood does not make the jacket commonplace. In short: I liked it best of all in the pictures

I like it more today than yesterday .
I don’t know if you’re aware of it, but there’s a way to roll the hood under and into itself that makes the hood look like a regular collar.

SIZE 7 COASTAL COMMAND IRVIN
This is not my jacket, but belongs to a fellow collector. CC Irvins rarely appear larger than a size 4. I have seen size 5s and 6s but this is the only size 7 that I have seen. This size 7 may be the work of Irvin Air Chute.

That’s a fine jacket. And for what it’s worth I like the hood and the detailing. If the WAAF’s wearing them on Aero’s website turn up with their Airspeed Oxford to rescue you if you have to ditch then things will be looking up.
