Can someone please help me identify the label information?

Hello all! I’m looking to buy a G1 jacket and I’ve came across 2 ones I’m interested in, the first 4 images are from one jacket that I can’t really read the label on. The next 3 seem to be from a star sportswear with mouton collar made in ‘68 if I’m reading it right.

I was wondering if anyone could help me identify the information on the first label and help determine which would be their better buy as the 1st one is about $60 but would need the liner replaced while the star one is $200.

Any help would be super appreciated, it’s my first time trying to buy one and I absolutely love the designs, thank you!

It’s an LW Foster 7823. Not sure of which contract.
That seems right! After browsing the guide and trying to make out the label I noticed it ending it 2_34 which leads me to believe it’s the CONTRACT NO. DA-36-243-QM(CTM)2134

Do you have any ideas of the quality difference between these 2/a personal recommendation as to which one would likely be better?

Star looks alright, but it's hard to tell with the quality of the pics. Saying from experience, it's usually better in the long run to start with something that needs as little work as possible. Trying to restore a jacket usually takes costly work and ends up costing more than buying one that doesn't need work. That being said, it's not always easy to find a jacket in as good a shape as you would like. Like new jackets are not for the taking at any (reasonable) price on the few sites I know like eBay, and Etsy. If you live in the States, your local sally anne or bargain used charity clothing store might have a good jacket that they got for free and are happy to sell for a good price. Other than those types of places, the major websites like eBay know what stuff might be worth or as some say asking way more than what it's worth (greedbay). Buyer beware!

Agree with above. You don’t want to buy a jacket like these two without having it in your hands to conduct a thorough examination on it. Repairs add up, particularly if you’re not skilled enough or have the right equipment to make the repairs. I can tell you right now that from your photos the Foster needs new knits , new lining and new collar and that’s just what I can see from the photos. It may need a new zipper and new retention straps for the back vents . This $60.00 jacket could end up costing you $500.00 more to restore .
Spend $250.00 to $350.00 and get yourself a used G-1 in excellent condition . You’ll be dollars and cents ahead .
