Cagleco G-1 on Ebay

Not WWII, but does have the scalloped pocket flaps, which I like.

John Chapman's CD Rom is very high on my list - I'd buy one of his repro Navy jackets in a heartbeat if I had the £$£$. I'm slightly nervous about buying the CD because I know the floodgates of acquisitiveness it'll pry open.

It certainly will make you lust after a lot of expensive things that you do not know you "need" yet, but the education is very cheap, and the knowledge will save you considerably more than $30 in long run. Or in your case most likely the short run.

One thing I can say with 100% certainty is you won't end up buying just one jacket, and you will make some mistakes along the way... just hopefully not too many expensive ones. The biggest mistake you can make as a starting collector is not to invest in good reference material. If JC's CD were a book, it would be over $300...and at that, still a real bargain considering the information it contains.

Good luck grasshopper!
