Contract 383-28657: If I read the chart correctly, this would be from 1957. It is a 46 but generally fits me well except for the sleeves which are an inch too long. No matter how much I wish it, I cannot get it to work so will be returning. Before doing so, I took some pictures.

I checked with Sideslip but with shipping and import fees it makes the total cost a little too high for me. It’s a great jacket, but sadly I’m in the wrong country

In the end, a fellow forumite on this side of the Atlantic contacted me just after you Burt and it was picked up by UPS 2 hours ago. I am happy that it is finding a home here! I would definitely have kept it but for the fit being just slightly off on me. Equally good for the shop I got it from as no re-stock and they are Good people.

Got two exactly like that, both ‘57’s I think but diff contracts! Love ‘em - both 44”s yet one feels just that bit more blousy and more comfortable hence gets the most wear!!

Happy to hear that the forum does seem to work as a place to sell and exchange jacket between members. It only strengthens the community that way.
