The pit to pit looks closer to a 44, are they just generous (or is this going to be too trim for a 44)?

I think it's from a TFL Member as he is selling a few BR and LV vintage styled gear via the CLASSIFIEDS on TFL (there's often an EBay / Etsy / TFL sales overlap with members . This isn't my cup of tea, but might suit an ex Gunner as its just "too loud."

They do come up big, the 36 I got was too big all round, so because it pure wool gave it a quick soak and popped it in the tumble dryer, kept and eye on it till it fit a treat.

It's a very nice jacket, warm to wear very cozy. The collar doesn't come up that big when wearing

I like that a lot and had my eye on it but I already have a Woolrich black/red check jacket - buyer beware to be prepared for the comments too "Im a Lumberjack and I dont care" as the Monty Python's song!! Plus, I really dont need any more jackets, (yet, or so my missus keeps telling me!
