Brand new Eastman Star with pics

I just received this beautiful Star from HPA last week. I was told HPA just received it from England 3 days prior to sending it to me overnight. The jacket I received blew my mind, so I thought I'd share some pics of it. Of course the jacket looks MUCH better in real life. I never thought I would own a jacket like this! It's a size 46, which was much trimmer than my 2005 Star size 46. Everything has improved since 2005. It was supple but firm from day one. After wearing it for only one day I noticed more patina popping out. It's just amazing. It compliments my ELC Rough Wear 1401-P that I ordered last month. I have absolutely no complaints, except that I need to lose about 20-30 pounds so I can look good wearing it!

Thanks for the positive comments. I had a very hard time finding pics of the newer Warhorse Stars before my purchase, so I wanted to post some. Eastman did a fantastic job. There's so much patina and creasing and all that I just couldn't believe it. It real life I look at this jacket and It seems like it doesn't even need to be broken in. I can't wait to see what it looks like after some wear. And it's just starting to become jacket weather here in Utah. Yay!

I believe it is Seal. Eastman's site states it's "WarHorse® - Horsehide leather in Seal Brown shade". It also states the thread color as being Havana.

The new ELC 1401P I received last month was stiff enough to stand up on its own. It's now much more supple.

When I opened this new Star Sportswear last week I was amazed that the horsehide was already very soft. It seems brand new and unworn, but at the same time it feels like a well broken in jacket. It was soft and easy to move around in right out of the box.

Lovely jacket, much better than my 2007 ELC Star, that I had painted with the "Home James" artwork. That jacket doesn't age very well, I'm sad to say.

I agree the current ELC Star is way better than my old 2006 Star (which was a great jacket) which I sold on a few years ago along with a ELC House A2 in goat and an Aero house A2 in goat also, to fund further jacket purchases.

I would even go to say that the horsehide looks even better that my 2010 ELC RW 27752 in warhorse......a great looking jacket.

I sold my 2005 ELC Star on eBay to help fund this purchase. For a couple days I had both jackets to compare side by side. My old Star holds a special place in my heart, so it's hard to say anything bad about it. But I'm really happy I upgraded to the new model. It was definitely worth it, as the upgrade was substantial. I'd like to note that the sizing is totally different. The new Star is much trimmer than the older 2005 model. the new Star has light brown stitching which I believe is more authentic than the reddish stitching used on the old Stars. I really liked that red stitching but progress has to march forward.
