BK Hides, after your opinions

They did an offer several years ago to replace knits for the cost of postage only. I took advantage of it and they did a good job on my ELC house A-2. No issues. Some of the things folks here are reporting are not acceptable. In the unlikely event that I order another new jacket, I would still consider a BK jacket-I like the look of their AN-J-3, for instance.

I've only had one experience with BK and it was totally positive. The horsehides used on the Rough Wear they made for me were some of the best I've seen on a repro. Grainy as shit and thin to medium thickness so the jacket draped perfectly. All in all, it was a good experience.

Mikey, you won't be disappointed with their AN-J-3, reckon it would look a stunner in liberty, especially if Grants jacket is anything to go by, it look unreal

Grant that turns back the tide on what BK can do for us ,I am on board ,that's one of the nicest A2 jackets I have seen in a long while and that is including originals . If Headwind could offer an A1 like this ,I mean the leather drape grain etc , they would be on the way to greatness .

See some worn shots? I noticed the sleeves are one inch shorter than originals and GW (my newly acquired GW 1401 has shortened arms, and now looks like this). The leather cuff end sorta line up with the leather hem

VICTORY HORSEHIDE - END OF AN ERA
We regret to inform you that late last year our tannery advised that they are forced due to technical difficulties and also the extremely long time of production to quit offering the hand made article "Victory Horsehide". The limited number of jackets we produced during the previous years should now therefore be collector's items. Get them if you see them as they are true gems.
