Looks like all repros have the incorrect pocket shape, the originals looked like this.

If originals were made by different contractors, I would imagine that there were variations, as per b-3s, a-2s, g-1s, etc.

The flat pocket is useless particularly if the leather is stiff and rigid.

The Pocket Flap at least on the Buzz Rickson is actually correct but the Pocket itself sadly not. I played with the thought of replacing it quite a few times but i think it would be quite a challenge to find a color matching hide.

Show us the correct pockets… I am happy to show the makers who have it all right… one is already certain John Chapman.…. But there are at least two others ( in a wider and brighter horizon )

That jacket looks as though the pocket and the strap have been modified.

No. The original jacket pocket has a return like a three sided box rather than a one pi3ce panel.

Still plain wrong. It's originally not a flat patch pocket. Should be "baggy"

Never seen a JC B-2. Only seen a B-1

It's impossible to show you the right pocket cause no jacket 'with' has survived. There's only a bit photo evidence. 95% of the original jackets had the pocket removed in the inter war period for some reason.
Surviving examples with pocket may exist but never seen one.
