Avirex A2 infos

An Eastman House contract, like this one, is no more authentic than an Avirex compared to an original contract.
However, as Burt mentioned, the good thing is that you’ll be able to sell it at the same price if you choose to.
The difference is that the Eastman jacket is better contructed and uses (in this case) very nice leather. It actually looks like a WW2 jacket compared to the Avirex which is a fantasy jacket. The snaps and other parts are better on the Eastman. Stay away from Cockpit/Avirex crap! IMO

Dear Gents,

I greatly appreciate your input, surely helping me to make the right choice.

I had bad luck starting with a HH Gibson & Barnes A2 mk43.
The seller did not mention it was a 40S. As I wore it, I immediatly turned into a not so magic mushroom. Funny how ? right ?

The frustration took me in the arms of this Avirex A2 or Avi leather BRONCO, but I start to understand...
I need to be patient a get the right one.

Just sold a kidney, and I could get an extra 150 € out of it, for final total budget of 500 €.
So here it is, with that amount of money I've stumble into an eastman leather Clothing Dwg No 30-1415 Contract number 42-058361.
Shall I pass, negotiate, pay the price ?

Cheers

I'd say grab it!

Like Burt said EASTMAN jackets are holding their value pretty stable from a certain point and you might always be able to get 500 bucks for it!

Those damages are peanuts and easy to repair and final argument to seal the deal your kidney has been utilized to buy something of top quality (btw i already sold both of mine - now starting to sort out which organ might be the next to go ... :) )

Just my 2 cts

Dear gents,

That A2 virus spreads so quickly, I'm already contagious ;)

Providence has put in front of my eyes another A2 jacket for sale: A Sefton clothing co.
From what I've read on this forum I understand that it's a pretty decent brand with some "aura" around it related to its quality of fabrication.
The jacket has little wear and patina but for 200 euros - I think I should get this one over the Eastman.

Bonus: I could get my kidney back

Any thoughts or wise recommendation ?

Cheers
