I agree it’s a cool hobby . The guys who could handle those swords back in the day, had to be some pretty buff and in shape dudes because one or two swings with that thing would send me back to the bench in need of some O2 !

mine arrived, no pics yet. They seemed to have fixed the few small issues with previous runs

the zipper does NOT go all the way to the top of knits...this IS CORRECT.

No seams with the wrist knits, they are tube kits ....... this IS CORRECT

No odd internal ribbing/seams on the inside collar anymore.

it gets a 10 out of 10 and IMO, THE preferred Tanker option.

OK, the lining is fleece instead of wool but it makes for a GREAT practical wearer and is a super price especially on sale.

Heavy wool lining is the authentic way to go but I am caving for comfort.

The fleece lined are perfect reproduction Tankers. Warm, durable and cheap....

the new ATF B-10's and B-15's are en route from the manufactures but it takes a while.

In re the ATF Tanker. I have owned a bunch of premium repro Tankers including BR as well as my two prized Good Wears (yep, GW Tanker, only a few made). I lost enough weight to where these were all too large, I mean pretty large!

That said, I like this $79 ATF just as much as any of the others. its not as good but darn close and maybe a bit more comfortable to wear since its light weight. Again, I am NOT saying the ATF is as exact a copy as the high dollar stuff but I do like it JUST AS MUCH as the more expensive options.

As I have said a million times, if it gets worn enough, its going to look as good broken in as any other option. IMO

I wore my ATF Tanker a lot this last winter, the fleece lining makes it for me.
As you say CBI, maybe not the most 'accurate' Tanker repro out there, but its not far off... and the ridiculously good price aside, its a comfortable, warm, versatile and well-made jacket.
And as Tim says... solid!

I have the CC ready to order a B-10 ;) but I want to see what it looks like. I read somewhere that they have copied an original and all the details are there.
Dont need another jacket, but curiosity always wins.

The last ones had seamed wrist knits which was probably their most heinous crime but in truth they were not outrageously obvious - at least on my two jackets, rather quite subtle, much less obvious than on the photos on ATF's site. Saying that it didn't worry me as I bought MASH replacements to fit once they give up the ghost anyway.

If the tankers are now using unseamed knits I wouldn't be surprised if the B-10s have the same.

Seamed knits aside, they are really terrific jackets. I really wouldn't be surprised if they're stronger than any other B-10 repro on the market after what I've done with my ones.

Sure it's hypothetical but if you were going to get shot down and evade capture in occupied France, I'd pick an ATF over the more expensive, prissy repros! ;)

Pls remind me, are your B-10s fleece-lined?
Thats one of the big bonuses on these Tankers. Im assuming the 10s will have some sort of mouton.

Funny you mention hypothetics... My ELC B-10, as lovely, warm and uber comfy as it is, would probably not last a sojourn through the French countryside. But then again, in WW2 I doubt they were intended too.
